Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I wanted to be a part of such a great organization.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? United Way is important because we are able to help raise money that can then be distributed to important organizations in the community that would struggle trying to do it alone.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? To continue setting the campaign goal dollars higher every year so that we can continue helping agencies/organizations that need it.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I have been volunteering in a variety of capacities for many, many years. I have seen amazing changes that volunteers can make and, for me, volunteering is very personally fulfilling.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? The United Way is a wonderful resource for many agencies. I worked for the VNA and saw the impact that United Way money had on different programs offered by the VNA. As a former Scout leader, I had applied for a United Way grant to fund a special dinner for senior citizens. That small grant made a huge impression on those senior citizens. They were able to enjoy good food, good friends and entertainment for an evening. United Way offers amenities that many non-profit organizations would not be able to afford.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? My hope is that in some small way I can contribute to the ongoing phenomenal United Way campaign in Moffat County and to help maintain or increase contribution levels. Another goal is to become better acquainted with our member agencies.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? Initially...to learn more about the United Way.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? There are many important organizations that help make this a better community, and without financial backing, would not function.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? Get employees of small businesses to start giving each month, no matter how small the amount. This will get them involved in the process of donating, and encourage them to learn about the needs of many of those in our community.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I want to make a difference in our community. We each have strengths and skills to share and it doesn't really matter in what capacity we serve, it is just important to be involved!
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? United Way is the organization that builds partnerships in a wide range of services and makes those resources available to everyone who needs them. Whether we are a mentor in the Partners program, a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club, the Cancer Society, etc. United Way is the organization that brings the community together to focus on our most important needs.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? We will be focusing on collaboration among all the agencies and we will be doing some Board training. It is always our goal to meet the financial needs of the agencies, so we will be working extra hard to campaign for the dollars that are needed!

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I decided to volunteer to help improve the quality of life for those living in Craig and Moffat county. Volunteering is a good thing!
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? The United Way serves the community in a teamwork fashion, knowing that each person helped transformation is possible.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? Future goals for the MCUW would be to continue a stong, positive, helpful presence in our community.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I have always volunteered in my community, so when I was asked to be the Tri-State United Way representative and handle the campaign at the plant I agreed to do it. This included a position on the board. I believe that volunteers make a community and if everyone volunteered at something they believed in this community would even be more awesome than it is.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? United Way has an organized campaign so help with the needs of non-profit organizations. This works well for several reasons:

1. It works well for the larger corporations to donate to United Way instead of having everyone always asking them for money and then determining who should receive some. The corporations know that United Way will make a determination on who gets what funding by a process that is very stringent and that they track the money to make sure it is used for its intended purpose.
2. United Way keeps the money local and several other charities do not do this.
3. United Way is a reputable charity that has been in Moffat County for several years and the board is made up of local people who live in this community.
